Dr. DuPont graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas and completed his medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston. His dermatology residency was done at the University of Arizona from 2010 - 2013, where he remained after graduation to complete a year-long fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology. He is an assistant professor in the U of A College of Medicine, Division of Dermatology.
Although Dr. DuPont is a board-certified dermatologist, his practice is limited to a specialty within dermatology known as Mohs Surgery. This is a "tissue-sparing" microscopic technique of removing certain types of skin cancer in which the physician acts in the dual capacity of both surgeon and pathologist. Dr. DuPont performs approximately 1,400 cases per year between the Arizona Cancer Center, the Southern Arizona VA Hospital, and private practice.
