LEADING BREAST CANCER RESEARCH, PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS AND CARE
The University of Arizona Cancer Center's Ginny L. Clements Breast Cancer Research Institute is home to the only accredited breast cancer program in Arizona.
The mission of the Ginny L. Clements Breast Cancer Research Institute is to change the lives of patients with breast cancer through transformational research. Housed within the University of Arizona Cancer Center – the only National Cancer Institute Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center headquartered in the state of Arizona – the Ginny L. Clements Breast Cancer Research Institute leverages the Cancer Center’s outstanding and distinctive programs in research, patient care, and community outreach, both within Arizona and nationwide.
The Institute leads breast cancer research at the University of Arizona Cancer Center by focusing on novel discoveries and innovative clinical trials that test new ways to diagnose and treat breast cancer. The research goals, priorities, and direction of the GLCBCRI will be developed further upon the hiring of its inaugural Director, with the goal of building upon existing and establishing new partnerships across the UA campus and beyond.
