The University of Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Center's Undergraduate Summer Internship Program (USIP)
The University of Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Center offers a paid, 10-week, full-time cancer research experience to current undergraduates with an interest in any STEM field through the Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) department.
This program is funded by the American Cancer Society (ACS) Center for Innovation in Cancer Research Training (CICRT) and the University of Arizona Cancer Center.
Accepted students will be matched with an established researcher at the Cancer Center to complete a research project during the program. Students will be a part of a unique cohort of students interested in pursuing a masters or doctorate degree in the health sciences and provided with professional development classes, conference experiences and social events.
Eligibility:
1) Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors with an interest in any STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) discipline
2) Must be in good academic standing with at least a 3.0 overall GPA
3) Must be enrolled college/university students and cannot be enrolled in summer courses
4) U.S. citizenship is not required
