The University of Arizona Cancer Center will be a major player on the downtown Phoenix Biomedical Campus, Cancer Center Director Andrew S. Kraft, MD, told Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton.

In their first meeting at Phoenix City Hall recently, Dr. Kraft and Mayor Stanton discussed the UACC- Phoenix facility’s expected economic impact on the growing health sciences campus and the benefits that an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center will bring to greater Phoenix.

“We offer cutting-edge and novel therapies to cancer patients and will bring the advantages of an academic research institution to the state’s major population center,” Dr. Kraft said.
