Events open to the public
The cancer center hosts and coordinates a variety of programs to help patients and caregivers as they face the challenges that a cancer diagnosis presents. Support groups and integrative medicine programs are coordinated through our partnerships with Banner Health, and Tom and Catherine Culley Circles of Holistic Care. Browse these programs on our calendar for dates, times, and registration details.
The cancer center has a robust community outreach and engagement program led by public health experts. The team organizes events throughout Arizona aimed at improving public knowledge about prevention strategies and helping connect patients with resources.
Educational opportunities for researchers and clinicians
One of the cancer center's missions is to help educate the next generation of oncologists and researchers. The center also provides continuing educational opportunities for life-long learners in the space of cancer research and care. To these ends, the center hosts and collaborates with other institutions to provide regular events aimed primarily at these audiences. These kind of events include cancer focused grand rounds, special seminars, symposiums and conferences.
The center coordinates regular meetings for clinicians treating patients to discuss strategies and clinical trials. These include tumor boards and clinical research teams organized by cancer type and doctor specialties.
