Timian Godfrey, DNP

Dr. Timian M. Godfrey (Diné) is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona College of Nursing and a Fellow of the Western Academy of Nursing and American Academy of Nursing. Her research focuses on advancing Indigenous health equity through culturally grounded interventions that address obesity-related cancer risk. As Principal Investigator on projects funded by the American Cancer Society and the NCI’s Partnership for Native American Cancer Prevention, she integrates kinship, community engagement, and multi-level support to reduce cancer risk and improve chronic disease outcomes among American Indian adults. Her work bridges research, education, and leadership to strengthen Indigenous health systems and workforce capacity.
