Associate Director, Administration

Drew Memmott leads the University of Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Center administrative team. He joined the center’s leadership in September of 2025. He has more than 25 years of experience in scientific administration and managing NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers. Prior to joining the University of Arizona, Memmott led the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center administrative unit from 2021 to August 2025.

From 2014 to 2021, he oversaw all research administrative functions for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and served as associate director of administration for the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. He was previously the associate director of administration at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center and director of research administration at Columbia University Medical Center. He currently serves on the external advisory board of several national comprehensive cancer centers. Memmott holds graduate degrees from the University of Washington and Columbia University.  
 
As associate director for administration at the University of Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Center, he oversees finance, communications, events, facilities, data management, and renewal of the NCI Cancer Center Support Grant. He serves in an advisory capacity to the director of the center and as a member of the center’s Scientific Leadership Council.
