Liliana Lopez
Bicultural Journalist
Liliana Lopez, a bicultural journalist, was born in Douglas, Arizona, and raised in the border town of Agua Prieta, Sonora. After attending the University of Sonora in Hermosillo to obtain her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences, Liliana lived for 10 years in Mexico City, where she worked on business and political magazines. In Tucson, AZ, she worked at the Arizona Daily Star from 2011 to 2023, being the Hispanic Community Engagement Editor and editor of La Estrella de Tucsón. She is currently pursuing a master´s degree in Bilingual Journalism at the University of Arizona.
