Ginny Clements honored at U of A football game

Ginny L. Clements was honored for her support of breast cancer research at the University of Arizona during a home game on October 11. University leaders joined her on the field. The event highlighted breast cancer awareness and the university's gratitude to Clements for her tireless work as a cheerleader for breast cancer research.

New imaging tech promises to help doctors better diagnose and treat skin cancers

A University of Arizona team will receive up to $2.7 million from the NIH to develop advanced non-invasive imaging technologies. Led by Florian Willomitzer and Dr. Clara Curiel-Lewandrowski, the team is one of four nationwide selected for the initiative aimed at improving deep, clear imaging inside the body.

U of A Cancer Center, Banner Health clinicians and scientists recognized at volleyball "Dig Pink" night

The University of Arizona Volleyball team hosted a Dig Pink Night on Oct. 2 to raise breast cancer awareness, defeating Utah 3–2. The event honored U of A Cancer Center and Banner Health clinicians, shared educational messages, and united players and fans in pink to promote breast cancer screening and research.
