Brenda Sánchez, MPH, CHES, CCHW

Executive Director, Southeast Arizona Health Education Center

Brenda Sánchez is the Executive Director of the Southeast Arizona Health Education Center (SEAHEC), where she leads strategic initiatives to improve health equity in rural and underserved communities across five southeastern Arizona counties (Graham, Greenlee, Cochise, Santa Cruz and Pima). Her work focuses on Community Health Worker (CHW) development, public health education, and binational collaboration.

Brenda began at SEAHEC as a Public Health Intern in 2018 and has since held multiple leadership roles, including CHW, Program Coordinator and Program Manager. She is the co-instructor for the Pima JTED CHW training program and has expanded access to culturally appropriate services, chronic disease prevention, and mental health education across southeast Arizona.

She has served as Co-President of COBINAS, a board member of AzCHOW, and was named an Emerging Leader in Rural Women’s Health in 2022. Brenda holds an MPH and dual degrees in Spanish Translation and Public Health from the University of Arizona.
