News Brief: Journal of Clinical Oncology Publishes Editorial by UArizona Cancer Center Prevention and Control Co-Leader

University of Arizona Cancer Center Prevention and Control Co-leader, Heidi Hamann, PhD, has co-authored an editorial with Jamie Studts, PhD, of the University of Colorado called Implementing Evidence-Based Tobacco Treatment Interventions in Oncology to Achieve Optimal Outcomes. The editorial has been published just this past week in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. The editorial accompanies a study also published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology called, Integrating Tobacco Treatment Into Oncology Care: Reach and Effectiveness of Evidence-Based Tobacco Treatment Across National Cancer Institute–Designated Cancer Centers. The editorial argues that tobacco treatment needs to be implemented as an integral component of cancer care in all settings.
