Leslie began her career in Clinical Research Coordination during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, working on trials in HIV, Hepatitis, Cancer and Immune Deficiencies, as well as nutritional R&D studies. She attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, completing the Undergraduate Flow Cytometry Internship and Graduate/Undergraduate Hematology & Molecular Biology program and also received a Bachelor of Arts from Florida International University.She has been a Consultant, Laboratory Manager, and Cancer Research Technologist, successfully developing a murine hybridoma to Cervical cancer during her internship at the Marcus Center for Immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her key interest is in hematologic disease, as well solid tumor malignancies.
