Based on my international professional training [Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Technical University Berlin (TUB), University of Kentucky (UK)] my research group at the College of Pharmacy and the University of Arizona Cancer Center is well positioned to pursue the discovery of novel redox-directed experimental and investigational cancer therapeutics. From 2016-2018, I have served as President leading the American Society for Photobiology (ASP).

Redox Drug Discovery Targeting Skin Cancer and Solar Photodamage:
My NIH-funded drug discovery research program examines the pathological role of oxidative and proteotoxic stress in solar photodamage and skin cancer (melanoma and non melanoma), focusing on pharmacological modulation of cellular stress response pathways.
