Dongkyun Kang, PhD


Dr. Kang received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Prior to joining the UA, Dr. Kang worked as an Assistant professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Cancer Focus

Dr. Kang's research interests include low-cost, in vivo microscopy technologies for aiding cancer diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Kang is currently leading NIH-sponsored projects on developing in vivo microscopy devices for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), skin cancer, and anal cancer.
