The University of Arizona Comprehensive Cancer Center Skin Cancer Institute will host its third annual Fight Melanoma Golf Tournament on Nov. 8, at Omni Tucson National Resort and Spa. The golf tournament will consist of an 18-hole round of golf, raffle prizes, a silent auction, a poster session, and a luncheon featuring a keynote speaker.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Jason Dupont, MD, Program Director of Micrographic Surgery and the Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship at the U of A College of Medicine – Tucson. Dr. Dupont is also a cancer center member.

His talk will focus on Mohs surgery, a procedure used to treat skin cancer by removing an area of skin containing cancer. The goal is to remove all of the skin cancer without harming the healthy skin around the cancer cells. Additionally, Dylan Miller, PhD, Skin Cancer Institute senior program coordinator, will also deliver a presentation on his findings on ultraviolet exposure in athletes.

All participants will be supporting the Skin Cancer Institute’s mission to prevent and cure skin cancer through research, education, patient support and community outreach.

This event follows two previous successful tournaments in 2023 and 2024, view a gallery of photos below.
