TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Banner – University Medical Center Tucson has made history as the first hospital in Arizona to utilize Aliya Pulsed Electric Field therapy, a revolutionary cancer treatment that targets tumors without surgery.

Dr. Billie Bixby, an interventional pulmonologist at the center, was the first in the state to perform this minimally invasive procedure. "This technique is unlike anything we’ve seen," Bixby said. "It uses pulsed electric fields to disrupt cancer cells while preserving healthy tissue."
