Stacy Lauver joins UACC as finance chief

Stacy Lauver, CPA, has joined the University of Arizona Cancer Center as assistant director of finance.

As assistant director of finance, Lauver is responsible for administrative oversight of the Cancer Center’s financial operations, including purchasing, hiring commitments, monitoring awards and expenditures from state, federal, sponsored, restricted, gift and UA Foundation funds. She also will assist principal investigators with grant preparation.

Lauver comes to UACC from Pima Community College where she most recently has been director of fiscal and management operations, overseeing the finances of the college’s facilities and police departments as well as managing eight departments providing college-wide services. She has been at Pima College since 1995.

A graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in business administration – accounting, and Grand Canyon University with a master’s in accounting, Lauver has also been a forensic accountant with the West River Group. She has served as a sponsored programs administrator at UA, and a staff auditor with Heinfeld & Meech, PC. In addition to being a certified public accountant, she also holds a chartered global management accountant certificate.
