The Skin Cancer Institute at the University of Arizona Cancer Center is participating in the Macy’s Shop For A Cause event on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Macy’s Shop For A Cause lends a helping hand to non-profit organizations through the sale of savings passes, providing the opportunity for consumers to enjoy special in-store savings while supporting the charity or organization of their choosing.

When shopping on Aug. 24 with Shop For A Cause savings passes from The Skin Cancer Institute, consumers will receive 25 percent off on regular, sale and clearance merchandise, including designer brands, as well as 10 percent off electronics, furniture, mattresses and area rugs in any Macy’s store across the country. Purchasers will also be eligible to win a $500 Macy’s gift card with no additional purchase necessary.

Purchasing a $5 Shop For A Cause savings pass directly from The Skin Cancer Institute at the University of Arizona Cancer Center will help support the only skin cancer organization of its kind that unites patient care, research, outreach and education into one coordinated entity.

The Skin Cancer Institute operates purely on grants and donations from members of the community. Funds are used to develop new strategies for prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer, educate the community, increase education in Tucson schools through Project SASS (Students are Sun Safe) and continue to expand the Protect Your Skin sunscreen program.

The University of Arizona Skin Cancer Institute will receive 100 percent of the proceeds from every $5 savings pass sold. To purchase your savings passes, please send a check or cash, the number of savings passes you would like to purchase and your mailing address to:
