Chad Adams, MPH, joins UACC as Assistant Director of Cancer Clinical Research
Please welcome Chad Adams, MPH, as he joins the University of Arizona Cancer Center as the Assistant Director of Cancer Clinical Research.
Adams will be responsible for the administration of the Clinical Trials Office and Clinical Data and Monitoring, as well as Protocol Review and Monitoring, Clinical Trials Budgeting, Regulatory and Compliance, Data Safety and Monitoring, and other aspects related to management of this National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office. Adams began June 8.
Adams will design and implement efficient processes to facilitate clinical trials, while also working closely with the UACC-Phoenix Campus and collaborating with other clinical trials offices throughout the UA College of Medicine.
Previously, Adams held the position of Administrative Director of Clinical Trials with the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he led the administrative function of the cancer center’s clinical research support staff. Adams has more than 18 years of experience in the field of clinical research and administrative leadership.
Adams earned his Masters of Public Health (MPH) with an emphasis in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of Nevada Las-Vegas in 2006 to go along with his Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education from Utah State University in 2004.
Adams has developed, reviewed, implemented, revised, measured, and monitored multiple research compliance programs in clinical, operational, laboratory and IT environments and will be a valuable addition to the UACC administrative team.
