Dr. Moreno is Tenured Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. He has been conducting research in biology and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. His work has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, Private Foundations, and Collaborations with Industry. He has supervised and mentored a number of interdisciplinary students, residents, research fellows and junior faculty.

Dr. Moreno serves as Associate Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Arizona Health Sciences, supporting, and promoting efforts by our campus community to increase the breadth and depth of diversity in the health professionals and scientist workforce; promote a climate of inclusion; and support curricular content to address the needs of our increasingly diverse population.
