Dr. Tranesh graduated top 1% with honors from the Faculty of Medicine University of Zawia in Libya, After graduation, he started his residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at St. John/Wayne State University, where he served as a chief resident in his final year. After residency, he joined a prestigious fellowship at Mayo Clinic in surgical pathology, followed by a second fellowship in cytopathology at The University of California San Diego. He is dually boarded by the American Board in clinical and anatomic pathology.
