My research includes investigation of novel techniques of shielding normal organs during prone whole breast radiotherapy and I recently was one of the primary investigators on a prospective trial investigating methods for improving heart dose during breast radiotherapy. I also was a recipient of a Better than Ever grant for my research on immobilization balloons for tandem and ovoid brachytherapy for cervical cancer. My current areas of interest include advanced treatment modalities for radiation therapy and potential biomarkers to improve radiation therapy outcomes.
I specialize in gastrointestinal and sarcoma radiotherapy. I employ numerous different treatment techniques to best adapt therapy to suit individual patient needs, including external beam radiotherapy or brachytherapy with high dose rate (HDR) radiation.
