Biography

Lora Hebert, MD, FACS is a Surgical Breast Oncologist at The University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Hebert received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. She completed her General Surgery residency at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and completed advanced Fellowship training in Surgical Breast Oncology at The University of California, San Francisco. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of The American Society of Breast Surgeons, The American Society of Breast Diseases, and the Association of Women Surgeons.

Cancer Focus

Dr. Hebert’s expertise includes the diagnosis, risk assessment, and management of cancer and precancerous changes in the breast. She has dedicated her professional career to helping women and is involved in all aspects of care from diagnosis to survivorship. Dr. Hebert holds a special interest in breast cancer prevention and collaborates with The University of Arizona research colleagues to unravel the factors contributing to its development. Through these efforts her goal is to significantly decrease the number of women who develop breast cancer.
