John R. Pawloski, MD, PhD

Biography

John R. Pawloski, MD, PhD is the Section Leader for Malignant Hematology and Program Director for Cellular Therapy at The University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health, and is the Director of Hematology at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center. Dr. Pawloski received his medical scientist (MD, PhD) degrees from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed internship, residency, and hematology training at Duke University Medical Center, then elevated to Assistant Professor of Medicine. He was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. He subsequently built the stem cell transplant program at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta, GA.

Cancer Focus

Dr. Pawloski’s expertise includes: leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, cellular and immunotherapy. He is board certified in Hematology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). He is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplant (ASBMT), European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Duke for six years, Dr. Pawloski was awarded over $1 million in private and public research funding.
