University of Arizona Wildcat Hockey will host the seventh annual “Pink the Rink” game to promote cancer awareness on Thursday, Jan. 27, when they play Arizona State University at the Tucson Arena. Proceeds from the game benefit the UArizona Cancer Center.

The Pink the Rink game is highlighted by a special commemorative jersey program. Community members can purchase a jersey to be personalized with the name of a loved one. A Wildcat player will wear the jersey during the game, and after the game, players will present the jerseys to the purchasers during a special program featuring stories of those being honored. Honorees may include cancer victims, cancer survivors or individuals battling the disease, as well as caretakers, volunteers and others who have dedicated their careers to battling cancer.

The commemorative game jerseys are $250, and all proceeds benefit UArizona Cancer Center research. A limited number of jerseys are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased online.
